Cronus is the ruling Titan. Rhea is the Titanis mother of the gods, and goddess of female fertility , motherhood, and generation. Rhea, his mother tricked Cronus, his father into swallowing a rock, and she hid Zeus in a cave until he was old enough to overtake Cronus. Zeus was born in Crete. Cronus had heard that one of his kids would overthrow him like he did to his father. So he swallowed all of his children when they were born.

Zeus was married to his own sister Hera who is the goddess of marriage. Also the Queen of the Olympians. Not many people knew they were married because they had a secret ceremony on Mount Olympus.

Leto is the daughter of the Titans Phoebe and Coeus. Her name means the hidden one. Io was a Argive princess. Hera was jealous of her and turned her into a cow. Leto is the mother of Apollo the god of music, and prophecy, and Artemis the goddess of the wilderness, the hunt, and fertility. Io is the mother of Epaphus. He became the king of Egypt.
He received his lightning bolt from the Cyclops. He uses the lightning bolt for defense. When Zeus rescued the Cyclopes from Tartarus during the Titan War, they made him and his brothers their weapons.
Zeus has great power with his lightning bolt.
His siblings were in the stomach of his father Cronus after he swallowed them. He heard a prophecy that one of his children would overtake him and he didn’t want that to happen so he ate them. The Nymphs Adrasteia and Ida were the ones that raised him in the cave. He made war with his father when he got to a certain age and had been raised by the Nymphs.
He overthrew his father Cronus, the Titan ruler. Then he and his brothers Hades and Poseidon drew straws. Hades got the shortest one so he was made God of the Underworld. Poseidon got the middle one so he was made the God of the Seas. Zeus got the longest one so he was made the God of the Sky, and Supreme Ruler.
When he was secretly married to Hera, Zeus had affairs with many women, and he even married one of them. Metis, the goddess of prudence, was said to be Zeus’ first love.
Athena is a child of Zeus. She is the goddess of wisdom and war. Zeus flattened Metis and put her at ease.
Zeus let Athena use his lightning bolt and shield and no one else, because she was his favorite.
Hephaestus is the god of fire and forge. He is the patron god of both smiths and weavers. Hera, his mother, was upset about having an ugly child and she flung him over Mount Olympus into the sea, breaking his legs. This links to the Odyssey because Odysseus credits Hephaestus’ skill in craftsmanship for helping him make his bed and house.
